It was Christmas Eve and as usual, you were alone…again.
This always happens to you every year. You wished and hoped for someone to be there and accompany you all the time. But, all the people you knew were all busy.
Sighing, you went to your living room with a blanket draping on your shoulders to keep yourself warm from the cold Christmas and a hot chocolate to keep your temperature high.
You carefully set the mug on the coffee table in front of you then plopped down on the couch behind you, hugging your knees and resting your head on your knee caps.
You didn't have much to do other than staring at the crackling fire to your side. You felt cold. Not the kind of cold you feel on the weather, the kind of cold that you feel when you are alone, lonely and depressed. You thought you'd be used to this by now.
Suddenly a knock on your door snapped you out of your trance.
You stand up letting your blanket fall on the floor then going over to the door, opening it.
You were surprised to see the person you least expected to come see you.
His blonde hair was covered with a red hat like Santa Clause wears. His baby blue eyes that were hidden by a pair of glasses sparkled from the light that was illuminating from the rays of the moon. And you noticed that he was wearing a Santa Clause outfit, minus the beard.
"Hohoho! Merry Christmas my friend!" he exclaimed removing his "hat" then putting it back on like how a gentleman with a hat introduce himself.
You blinked and stared at him with confusion.
"Alfred? What are you doing here?" you ask tilting your head to the side a bit.
"I, Santa Alfred, will bring joy and happiness to you sweet ______. And this year, you will have the bestest Christmas ever, and yours truly will make that happened." He laughed hysterically with his chest out and his hands on his hips.
You were still confused. Why would Alfred, the most popular guy in your school and the heartthrob, would waste his Christmas on a shy, nerd, useless girl like you?
"We will begin… just as soon as you let me in because the cold is consuming my body heat." He said while his teeth chattered.
"Oh right. S-Sorry, please come in and I'll make some hot chocolate." You said timidly moving aside as Alfred comes in.
He plops down on the couch with his hands rubbing his arms. You picked up your blanket that was on the floor and draped it on Alfred's shoulders then going to the kitchen to make the beverage you recommend.
You returned with the hot chocolate and you found Alfred lying on the couch asleep. His head resting on the arm of the couch and he was hugging the cushion and he was still on his Santa Clause outfit, minus the hat that was lying on the floor beside the couch. Picking the red material then putting it on the coffee table where you're unfinished hot chocolate and Alfred's were set.
You also picked up the blanket that was on the floor and put it on Alfred to keep him warm. He must be tired from walking. You can't really drive from this snow and weather and his house was a long way.
You then realized that you have been staring at him for quite some time now. Tearing off your gaze, you moved your attention to the red sack he was carrying earlier.
It's was rude to snooped in other people's things but since Alfred is asleep; it wouldn't hurt to just take a peek.
You lifted the cloth and peered in but it was too dark to see so you grabbed what's inside.
You fumbled around inside the sack until your hand felt something then you pulled it out.
It was a small box wrapped in (f/c) wrappings and a cute little (f/c) bow on top. You glanced at the label where your name was written.
'This is…for me? Alfred got me a present?' you blushed hugging the small box to your chest.
Your heart started beating at a fast pace, your face felt like it was being boiled and you felt an odd feeling inside of you.
"I see you got my present." A voice whispered in your ear which made you jump in surprise.
You whipped your head to you side and saw Alfred wearing only plain clothes now.
"Th-This is really for m-me?" you ask bashfully looking at the box in your hands.
"Yep! Open it!" he exclaimed sitting beside you, your shoulders touching.
You carefully removed the bow and the wrapper so that it won't rip because it was too beautiful to be thrown away in the trash. You slowly removed the lid and your (e/c) orb widen and your moth slightly open.
It was the most beautiful present you ever received. It was a necklace with silver chain holding a snowflake. The snowflake was like the size your thumb.
"Like it?" Alfred asked taking it from its box then putting it around your neck. His hand brushes your skin and he can smell the scent of your (h/c) locks.
Then he heard you sniff which made him forced you to face him.
"What's wrong ______?" he asks with concerned eyes.
You shook your head.
"Thank you so much Alfred." You said smiling touching the snowflake with the tips of your fingers.
"But I didn't get you a present." You felt bad. He came all this way just to make you happy and you didn't have anything to give him to show your appreciation.
"It's okay _______." He said placing his hands on your shoulders.
"I already got what I want for Christmas." He rested his forehead against your and staring deep into your (e/c) eyes that held shyness.
"Wh-Wh-What is i-it?" you managed to stammer out.
"You." He whispered resting his lips against yours and his hand moving to your cheek caressing it and the other holding your hand that was on your chest.
You were shock and didn't move a single muscle. Alfred F. Jones just confessed to you and kissed you in your very own living room. You weren't expecting this to happen. Well, life is full of surprises.
Alfred pulled away, staring at your flustered face then giggled.
"You look really cute when you're all flustered like that ______." He exclaimed hugging you.
"Just the way I like you."
You smiled then it turned into a giggle.
You returned the hug and whispered back.
"I love you too, my Santa."
