Sonic X Reader

It was a cold windy day and you were taking your morning stroll around the forest. Your house was near so you had no problem wandering around the area since you knew it very well. You have been in this forest for as long as you can remember and it has become your playground. Being surrounded by nature and trees made you want to become one of the wild animals in the forest. Free and unchained.

You giggled at the thought. You kept walking with your head above the clouds and your jacket draped on your shoulders. You were too busy admiring the trees and the sky, you suddenly tripped on a rock and fell flat on the ground.

Groaning and muttering at how clumsy you are, you sat up and rubbed your throbbing nose. You opened your eyes and let out a quiet gasp when you saw a blue animal under a tree.

You blinked multiple times and rubbed your eyes to make sure that you weren't hallucinating. Deciding that you weren't crazy, you crawled in front of it and poked its cheek softly. It was breathing and it felt cold. 'He doesn't look dead' you thought.

You took off your (f/c) jacket and put it around the blue animal then sat down beside it leaning your back against the tree.

You look down at the animal beside you and thought for a moment. 'I have no idea why I'm staying. It might be a dangerous animal but it looks kind of familiar though.' You sighed and hugged your knees, still staring at the sleeping blue animal. It looked so cute. You felt like hugging it.
You giggled at the thought of how soft it would be. You started stroking its spiky hair with one finger and enjoyed the feel of his fur. It jerked and you withdraw your hand. But to your surprise, it snuggled closer to you, leaning its head on your shoulder.

You were right, he felt so soft. You let out a quiet giggle and stroke its blue fur again.

You yelped when you felt it grip your wrist and looking at you somewhat surprise.

"Wh-Who are you?" he asks.

Your eyes widened.

'I-It talked!' you mentally screamed.

"U-Um... I-I'm ______ ______." You said timidly.

He stared at you for a moment then lets go of your wrist. It stood up letting your (f/c) jacket fall on the ground.

He held his hand out to you smiling.

"It's nice to meet you ____. The name's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog."

Sonic?

Now you remembered, he was the one who fought all those robots. You saw him once on the television and he was amazing in action.

You smiled and shook his hand.

"It's really nice to meet you too Sonic."
You and Sonic became friends quickly. You told him how you liked living near the forest rather than the city because your parents lived here and when they passed away, you promised yourself to never leave this place because it held a lot of good memories. Sonic told you that he was from another planet. It was hard for you to believe though and he also told you that all the robots he fought were made by his archenemy, Doctor Egg man.

You giggled at the name.

You and Sonic talked until it was sunset.

You two were now sitting on a cliff admiring the great colors of the sky. You let out a sigh and turned to sonic who was making a wreath of flowers.

"I guess it's time for you to leave huh?" you asked frowning.

He smiled and stands up, his gaze still on the sky.

"I guess so." He said smiling.

You stood up and looked down on him.

"It was really nice meeting you Sonic." You said, bowing a little then you start walking away but Sonic stopped you by gripping your hand.

"What is it?" you ask looking at him over your shoulder.

"Can you kneel down for a sec?" he asked.

You nodded and kneeled down.

"Close your eyes."

You did as you were told and closed your (e/c) eyes.

You felt something on your head.

"You can open them up now ______."

You opened your eyes and stared at Sonic quizzically.

He snickered and pointed at your head.

You looked up and saw a flower fell down and you caught it, landing on your palm. It was the wreath that Sonic had been making all day.

You were touched by his little trinket and felt happy tears in your eyes.


"H-Hey, are you okay?" Sonic asks with a concerned look.
You smiled and nodded at him. "Thank you Sonic. You're the sweetest creature I have ever met." You whispered.

Sonic chuckled and gave you a thumbs up.

"No prob _____."

"Guess this is goodbye. I am so happy to have met you. I will never forget today."

Sonic chuckled and put a hand on your shoulder.


"Don't fret _____, I'll come back and see you again tomorrow." He said with a wink.

"R-Really?! But why?"

"Why? If it weren't for you, I might have frozen to death. So I want to return the favor by being your friend. If you'll have me." he said.

You hugged Sonic tightly and he was shocked by the gesture, but he eventually did the same. "I would be honored to be friends with you Sonic." you pulled away smiling.

Sonic nodded, turned his back and started walking away. He picked up your jacket and tossed it on his shoulder.

"Mind if I keep this?" he asks and you nodded.

You gave him another quick hug then he was off with a zoom.

You looked at the direction Sonic left and smiled.

You couldn't wait to see your new friend again.

Sonic did keep his promise, he would go to your house unexpectedly and you always greeted him with a hug and snacks. He also brought his friends with him and you got along with everyone well, except for Amy because she kept glaring at you and prying Sonic away whenever his near you but you still liked her nonetheless.
